ABOUT ME
I am an ecologist specializing in freshwater fishes, with a broad interest in the conservation and management of aquatic ecosystems. My research primarily focuses on understanding the impacts of hydrological alterations, such as dam construction and water abstraction, global environmental changes like climate change, and the spread of invasive species on freshwater ecosystems. These disruptions pose significant challenges to biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, and my work aims to uncover how these stressors influence fish populations and their habitats. Additionally, I have a strong interest in biogeography, where I explore the key factors that shape species distributions, including environmental variables, habitat connectivity, and historical processes. Through my research, I aim to contribute to the conservation of freshwater biodiversity and promote sustainable management practices.
